Even without having a real job, I find so much stuff to fill my time. I’ve managed to squeeze in a little bit of time everyday to devote to my new best friend. I wish I had more, but I’m working on that.
A few days ago I rearranged my sewing room. Now that the desk is devoted to the new sewing machine and not the old computer, it was time it was relocated.
Before: The sewing table/machine I was using was under the window. This is Alex helped put towels under the feet of the desk to slide it – it’s too heavy to lift and too much work to take the drawers out. Jack enjoyed a game of tug-o-war with the towels.
I love the new lay out. And my first real quilt is coming along nicely.
PS. I went into Seattle last night to a happy hour meeting. It was a beautiful fall afternoon.
My most amazing best friend Karen invited me to join her young adults group Friday night for a bonfire at Alki Beach. I cannot believe that I’ve lived in Washington for 15 years and don’t think I’ve ever been to Alki. It was amazing and the weather could not have been more perfect.
We got there early to claim a fire pit for the night. The view was spectacular. We watched a cruise ship leaving Seattle and ferries going back and forth. We picked up dinner right across the street at Spud Fish and Chips. I had the clam and chips with a vanilla milk shake. Mmm. The sunset was relaxing, and we enjoyed a hot fire and made s’mores. I hope to do it again someday so I can take Alex and share the experience with him.
How about you, what did you do this weekend?
Alex and I were so happy to celebrate our two year anniversary this week.
On our actually anniversary, we went to Salty’s on Alki for a great dinner.
Then today we treated ourselves to an afternoon with the Mariners. They lost. But, the weather was great, the game was still entertaining, the beer was tasty, and we had a ton of fun.
One of the Indians got hit by a pitch. This was the drama that it created:
Happy Anniversary to us! Love you babe. xoxo
I was downtown a couple weeks ago for a meeting and strolled through Pike Place Market while I was there. Couldn’t help but stop and whip my camera out to capture this:
The views on the bus ride to Redmond were great that day.
Weather forecast has lots of sun. Hoping to catch up on some photo taking now that I can upload photos from the camera myself and don’t need the hubby’s help. 🙂
