The forecast this week includes an Excessive Heat Warning and the High today was around 90. That means right now we’re enjoying dinner in our air conditioned family room and sipping refreshing beverages. But earlier, it meant a dip in the pool with our favorite Niece!
She loved being thrown up in the air and making a big splash!
I practiced having Zoe say “please” instead of just demanding to be thrown in the water. She was very good about saying it so politely and I’d thank her for that. I also taught her the phrase “here we go”. I’d spin her around me just above the surface of the water while she kicked her feet and to get Alex and Tutu’s attention we’d say “here we go”. She caught on quite easily and as soon as I’d stop spinning, instead of asking to spin again all she’d say was “Here we go!” It was adorable.
My favorite part of the day was when we were done swimming and back inside.
I said, “Zoe, what did Auntie Jess teach you at the pool today?” expecting her to say “here we go!”
Instead Zoe responded “Please.”
I love it! Zoe, you’re too cute for your own good.
